Last Monday the Edenlife lawn bowling green got its first proper workout as we hosted a mixed pairs bowls tournament. Invited were several teams from five surrounding bowls clubs, Eaton, Binningup, Collie, Harvey and Brunswick competing for the top prize of $500. Each team played 4 games with 6 ends each, Collie finished in first place followed by runners up Brunswick.
It was a great day on the green with sunny blue skies and a light easterly blowing for most of the day. After the first two games, players broke for afternoon tea followed by a sausage sizzle on our clubhouse BBQ after the last game.
Players, spectators and guests were given a tour of the facilities in the clubhouse and wonderful display homes. A special mention to the Brunswick bowls men’s and woman’s captains John Exton and Irene White for organising the teams and upkeep of our fabulous new green. Edenlife will host several more events this month with an open invitation for all. Firstly, the sundowner information session happening on Wednesday the 25th of November, 4-6 pm. Guests can tour all the Edenlife facilities and display homes while enjoying a sundowner wine and cheese night.
On Saturday the 5th of December Edenlife will host an informative seminar. Invited are two special guests who will speak on the current real estate market and money matters. The event begins at 10 am Saturday morning until 12 pm. A reminder to all readers that the Edenlife clubhouse is open 10 am til 4 pm every day.
